The 15th Nahal Student Short Film Festival announces winners in national section.

The 15th edition of the Nahal Student Short Film Festival has announced winners in the national section.

The closing ceremony of the festival was held on June 25, 2018.

Best photo award went to Samad Alizadeh for 'Slaughterer' and Asad Bahraini won best poster award for 'Red Grain Field'.

Best feature film award was presented to Katayoun Parmar and Mohammad Rouhbakhsh for 'You Are Still Here' and Reza Fakhari won best documentary award for 'Child'.

Daryoush Oskouei received best animation award for 'Porter' and 'Like a Good Kid' brought best director and best script awards to Arian Vazir-Daftari.

Hamed Hosseini-Sangari won best filming award for 'Overt' and best editing award went to Katayoun Parmar and Mohammad Rouhbakhsh for 'You Are Still Here'.

Shadi Karamroudi won best actress award for 'Like a Good Kid' and best actor award was presented to Reza Akhlaqi for 'Monster'.

Best scene and costume design award went to Faraz Modiri for 'I'm Happy and Glad and Hateful' and 'You Are Still Here' grabbed the audience choice award.

Amir Hatami and Ramin Abolsedq won best sound award for 'You Are Still Here' and best music award was presented to Salar Asghari for 'Woods'.

The jury presented its special award to 'Cup Bearer' by Alireza Esfandiarnezhad and 'Portray' by Siavash Farhadi.

Some 45 titles competed at the national section of the 15th Nahal Student Short Film Festival.

The event has been organized by students of theater and cinema faculty, University of Tehran in collaboration with cultural deputy of the university in 2 sections of Short Film as well as Scene Photography and Poster with the latter encompassing categories of Documentary, Fiction, Experimental Cinema, Animation and First Film Directors.

The festival aims to set the stage for showcasing college students’ capabilities and draw a connection between college students and cinema as well as providing a healthy competitive environment for creators of film works.
